Nice! I appreciate this Zork business, it is the future.
I will contribute next time i get some wine, the rack has been going empty since I started obsessing over gin martinis.
orin swifts' the prisoner, my favoite wine of all time. lovely zin blend. a good california zin can't be beat
The Prisoner is good, I agree. Pricey though. I like Steltzner Claret is a really nice blend for under 20.
Dry Creek Valley Vinyards is good in general. Endeavor and Mariner are both amongst my favorites, if spendy (40 - 60 dollars). For a 100% Napa Cab, Neal Family is the best bang for your buck.
I'll write something about Bordeaux's later, I've got a lot to say on it.
Joseph Phelps 2001 merlot is pretty freaking phenomenal.
On the cheap side I won't knock YellowTail, pretty decent for next to no money.
Yellow Tail is VIOLENTLY inconsistent. One bottle will be totally awesome, and the next will be ditch water. Good college wine?
Why is it that when nerds get old, they turn into wine connoisseurs?
i.e. John C. Dvorak and wine.woot
Cat got me hooked on Four Vines Old Vine Cuvee. Heavenly with molten lava cake.
I likes me some straight up Merlot. I buy based on how much I like the drawing on a label.
PRETTY MUCH.
