So far I'm loving this game. The theme really takes this over the top for me. The action is really solid and the controls are great.
I had this pre-ordered at Gamestop because I wanted the graphic novel pre-order bonus, but when I went to pick it up today, they gave out all the graphic novels, so I asked for my money back and then went home and ordered it on Amazon. I'll have to wait until the end of the week to get to play it.
They did this shit to me when I preordered MGS3 Subsistence, I never preorder anything from them again. The GS employees just ebay all the free bonus or gave them to friends.Quote:

The theme and art style are something that might be impressive to a particularly juvenile junior high student, but I'm enjoying the whole thing anyway. It manages to rise above the lame stupidity of its cliches and is a lot of fun so far. The voice acting is from uninspired Saturday morning cartoons, the character designs are straight from the school of overdesigned McFarlane toys, and somehow it all works. War himself appears to be ripped directly off of the Arthas character model in Warcraft, but otherwise the game is decent enough so far. Seems to be more of a God of War clone than a Devil May Cry clone so far though.
This game is fantastic. It does so many things right. It first appears to be a God of War style action game and then turns into a full blown Zelda style adventure with God of War gameplay. It's like they made the perfect mix of God of War, Soul Reaver, and Zelda. It also has some great bosses.
Loving it so far. It is a good mix of GOW, DMC and Zelda. As much as first time my wife watched me play this, she mentioned GOW and DMC right off the bat.
I just finished off the first big boss in the game and I like the game a lot. I get such a Soul Reaver vibe out of it. I'm playing on the hardest difficulty (Apocalyptic) and its not so bad. Some of the big mini-boss like enemies can just wipe your life down in two hits and this one mini-boss The Jailer killed me in one hit (lol) but its all good.
Game is awesome.
