If some one is that worried about being able to port purchased dl content onto future consoles (or even a different console) then simply do not buy them, or buy them and risk the consequences. This shits a luxury item. Game companies don't owe us future use on new hardware just because you download an XBLA game.

No luck. Working on a fresh install updated to 2.30, it gives me a "can't find ddraw.dll" error. Adding ddraw.dll to the directory gets the same results. Using the sshock.exe file also linked off that page makes it tell me the game is already pactched. Once I reconfigure for resolution it tells me "video card not supported", and all I've got is a GeForce 8800 GT. If there's a way to make all this work together I've no idea what it could be.Quote:

I do. I did a bit of research and it's a known bug with DDfix, with the solution being "re-unzip into the the thief folder again, click "remove patch" and "apply patch" ". I did, several times, and it still won't go. I'm very sad.
-edit- And now very happy. Downloaded prepatched version and got the same "video card not supported" issue, removed patch, reapplied patch, it works perfect. :D
I wouldn't go through all this for very many games at all, but System Shock 2 is worth it. I haven't played it since it originally came out.
