I enjoyed assaulting smaller bases full of enemies more than the huge cluster-fuck outdoor battles. For me it goes Reach > 1 > 3 > 2. The helicopter / space levels are shit but i'd take them over more fucking flood.

Two new trilogies? I assume they're doing the one a year plan like CoD?

During a panel last night at the New York Comic Con, transmedia company Starlight Runner -- a business that helps plan cross-media campaigns for various properties, including Microsoft's Halo franchise -- gave a presentation on its work. Among the slides shown, company president and CEO Jeff Gomez previewed one that gave the audience a look at the future of Halo: two new trilogies starting in 2012/2013 with a major motion picture set for release by 2014.
Update: Microsoft representative Ryan James contacted Joystiq to say, "We worked with Starlight in the past, but the info isn't an accurate representation of our plans for the Halo franchise."
Starlight Runner have yet to issue any official comment on the news.
Whenever Microsoft denies something, you know it's true.
Sources: Kinect will be priced at $150.
Microsoft: No, that's not true. We haven't set the price.
Microsoft: Oh hey, Kinect will be priced at $150!
It seems the only reason this would be considered better single player wise is the lack of Flood and that's it.
Flood > anemic space battles
I went through Halo 3 on Legendary just before playing Reach, and its campaign is SO much better. There was nothing interesting about Reach's campaign at all, and Master Chief > Noble Team.
Hey assholes, let's play tonight!
I'd take it a step further and say Halo 3 as a whole is SO much better than Reach. Its a step back in almost every way:
MP maps, music, framerate, random aiming bloom, broken ass armor abilities (try playing a full team of armor lock people), ranking system, horrible MP spawns, quitting system, betrayal system, vehicles (new warthog blows), 1 person only theater mode, and especially the objective modes (multiflag CTF and assault).
The more I try to play Reach, the more I dislike it - and I played (and loved) 1000s of online matches on H1 PC, H2, and 3. I keep trying to like it. Bungie messed everything up.
So a few friends didn't get through legendary and I'm going to drink heavily and help them out. Got room for one more tonight, anybody?
