If being on WiiWare was all that was wrong with this, I'd consider it a tremendous victory. You're worrying about the wrong thing.
2D Sonic is a very delicate formula, so the mere announcement that this will be a 2D old school Sonic doesn't honestly mean that much to me, but I'm obviously still going to want to keep an eye on it. If it's as good as Sonic Rush Adventure, but it looks purdy and HD, then I'm happy.
