I don't really get why you'd want to call your black friends crazy niggers to begin with. I mean there's a context for that kind of thing I don't censor myself around my black friends, but it never occurred to me that calling them racial slurs would somehow be comedic or clever. But then neither is Robobo or whatever it was called.

Real friends aren't going to get too bent out of shape over that kind of thing, but it doesn't really mean they appreciate it either.

That's because you're a humorless dick. I do it all the time, hell, a black guy I work with asked me to go get him a soda, I asked if he had any specific request and he responded with a shrug, so I told him I'd see if they had grape, and we all laughed.

There is a big difference between making fun of a stereotype and calling somebody a racial slur, even if it is just a joke. I cannot imagine a single scenario where I would call somebody a crazy nigger and it would be funny or amusing.

Trust me, dude, I'm as much of a ball-buster as anyone else, but I'm not so stupid I think a word alone constitutes a joke. I'm not saying I've never said the word in front of my black friends when there was a good punchline, but it was never anything as simple-minded and half-assed as just calling them a nigger and acting like I made a joke.
