You can interrupt any of your regular attacks with a block, it's mostly the special moves that have to finish their animations.
And yeah, the special features have always been great. The Making Ofs have been some of the best in the biz, and it's funny how each game had a new director because the last one would pussy out. I got really excited to see Stig in charge of GoW3 since he was awesome in the GoW2 video lol.
Still, only one unlockable costume? Wat.
This game series is why I will be buying a PS3 by the time this year ends.

I never even beat 2 and I'm still with dave on this one. Hell it's probably helping the cause since now I want the hi-res versions of 1 & 2.
It's not like I'm not running out to buy a ps3 but i keep thinking to myself "... if i see an even remotely good deal on a ps3, I'll probably buy it." It's getting to that point where the exclusives piling up are too much to take, regardless of how content I am with my pile of 360-shame.
Near the end and I got to say I'm not Loving this game. Sure it's good but when the action stops the game just isn't that great. The puzzles all feel like filler. Hell, even the details take a dive during the puzzle sections. Besides that, balls to the walls god killing going on here.
Yehah sometimes I just want to turn my brain off and make the game do the puzzles for me. They're not hard or anything, but they interrupt the ass beating you give people.
Especially the bosses. Most awesome 'fatalities' ever

I use 'puzzle' as a term that involves levers of any kind, so yeah. That's because they're not challenging. But yeah, take away the level pulling animation and the door opening animation/button mashing and you cut off the shittiest hour of the game. For a game that's 8 hours long, that's like 13%.
Besides the amazing presentation I feel the game just isn't that fun. Everything just feels like a slog to see what badass thing Kratos does next. Overrated definetly.
Pretty much my feelings exactly. If I hadn't played through Bayonetta and Darksiders, I may have liked this game more. Now it just feels dated.Quote:
