Has anyone had any problems with the 3000's screen? I remember hearing a lot of bitching about it when it was first released.
I've certainly noticed some dithering or scanlines or whatever it is that the ladies were tearing up about, but not as bad as that one screenshot that was plastered all over the net.
I love my PSP 2000 but I actually use my portables on the go, and that giant, unprotected screen has light scratches all over it (only noticeable when the system is off, really). I was debating going for a 3000 and coddling the faggot machine with a screen protector and whatnot, but not if it's a worse screen.
I'll have to see it for myself.
after comparing both, I went with the 3000. Brighter screen won me over.
I put a screen protector on my portables the day I open them and then never worry about scratches. Hori is a great brand.
I will look into the 3k as well as the protector. I had this plastic thing on it but it had a bubble that kept bothering me and I kind of go crazy about that stuff.
I replaced the screen of my NGPC like 4 times =X
I miss the days of easily (and cheaply) replaceable screens. I can't tell you how many times I've replace GBA, Nomad, and GBC screens.
If my PSP was cracked I'd probably play it more, as it stands I have no use for it. Hell my sister is borrowing it to play through Crisis Core (which I admit was fun), but I'm in no rush whatsoever to get it back. Long car rides and waiting at the DMV are the only times I'll ever turn it on.
I have a cracked 1000. I stopped using it long ago. Now all my portable emulation needs are filled by this. The 1000 was just too unwieldy. The Wiz having the native resolution of most of the old consoles is nice as well.
