New Sonic GCN and GBA games announced...

You may go back to your previous whining. Cube IGN says there was miscommunication between SOJ and SOA and that the new Sonic isn't a new Sonic at all, but the previously rumored Sonic Adventure 1. Yay.

I don't fault Gamespot, they were only passing on what they had been told. Who knows, IGN may be wrong here instead.

I only heard about this "new" Sonic rumor from that Gamespot article you pointed out and from the rumors in EGM. I haven't checked out the IGN article but I know Gaming-Age reported that it was most likely a port of Sonic Adventure, although specifics weren't announced about it...

Um, it's not like there won't be a new Sonic game just because it has not been announced yet. I think we can all sleep soundly tonight safe in the knowledge that a brand new Sonic game is being planned or developed somewhere, even if it's not official yet.

If Sonic Adventure 1 is being ported. Great, more people can play that wonderful game. It's just a bonus.

I'm already sleeping soundly at night knowing that Shinobi's coming back and on the PS2. And also a new 2D Castlevania and Metroid are gonna be here this year. Suddenly the world seems right again.
