Magneto looks like he plays nothing like his MvC2 or prior counterparts. Shit, his hyper grav takes FOREVER to come out. He definitely looks nerfed liked a motherfucker.

Oh, and in case anyone else was waiting for these guys both Gambit and Silver Surfer have been deconfirmed. Sucks, I would have loved Gambit.
Man, I'm glad he's nerfed. I'm also glad the game is slower. I want to be able to keep up with the thing and have fun with it.
...which I did when I played it on Friday. I'm actually really looking forward to this now.
Oh, also, my friend noticed that when you call out partners, they take a SHITTON of damage. I guess spamming them is no longer an option!
You being slow shouldn't hinder everyone else's enjoyment of a fast game. If you can't keep up I suggest playing another game
Silver Surfer would have been pretty tough to get in there, his board would have taken up 1/2 of the screen.
I guess you could have it 'port in for certain moves, but "eh"...

If I'm not mistaken they're going to bump up the speed for whatever tournament Florida is going to have. So the final build may be faster. Enjoy this while you can.
Hopefully the speed will be selectable. Capcom has been stingy with the feature as of late and I think that's a shame.
It's not something I miss, really. Either everyone plays at the highest speed and everything else is a forethought (like what happened with MvC2), or you will have douchenozzles that turn the game up to max speed anyway (even if it's absurd) and tournaments struggle come to a standard speed setting.
The game should be tuned for a specific set of settings, and given the past games in the series it should be much faster than it is now... although I wonder how much of this is just due to players not being comfortable with the system (every fighting game looks slower when people first start playing it).
I'm watching the Sanford vs. Yipes match and in this build they've already found some abusable things. First off, Dr. Doom's tri-jumps are wicked fast but I'm not sure if you can even attack off of them. They do allow him to haul ass everywhere, though. So he can get back and forth while dropping some lasers. Same goes for Iron Man but since his smart bombs were changed I'm not sure how useful they are. Wolverine seems like he's back to his Marvel vs. Capcom shenanigans and if none of you ever played that game at a pro level, Wolverine can catch you in one combo and kill you off completely in a few hits.
Dante with Doom rocks assist is fucking annoying control. They take up the entire screen so it's hard to counter. His missile special follows you if you try to super jump and knock you right back down into Doom rocks. Put on top of that Dante's ability to constantly juggle you and it's a pretty annoying combo so far. It also looks like Doom's old MvC2 combos still work except for his infinite. Probably a reset one will be found in the future?
