Based on the novel of the same name, The Killer Inside Me is about a sheriff in a small town in the 50's who is revealed to be a psychopath. I just came back from seeing it, and its really fucking great. Casey Affleck does what he always does, but it works fantastically for the character, and this might be the first film Jessica Alba is actually good in. The violence is fairly sparse but when it happens its fucking BRUTAL, people even walked out of the Sundance premiere in outrage and disgust.
Currently, it's slated for a limited run starting on the 18th. It's going to be fairly controversial if it gets a wider release and the violence will polarize opinions, but ultimately it's a well made movie that does an excelent job of portraying a sociopath. Go see it.

Man, this looks badass! even aside from having hudson and alba in it. Casey Afflek is really underappreciated, from the trailer, looks like he nails this. Definitely will check it out.

The casting choices on the whole are inspired. Alba and Hudson basically play characters who act just how you'd imagine the actresses to act themselves if they lived in the 50's, so it works. Casey Affleck is absolutely perfect for his role too. There is even some crazy Bill Pullman in there.
