Weren't all the SMS 3-d games around 15fps? I think I just read an article that mentioned the games were 30, split in two images of 15 fps a piece.

Space Harrier 3D is the choppiest game ever made. It was a total slideshow. Zaxxon 3D was pretty smooth and looked neat with the glasses.
That 3D World Runner (Space Harrier clone) on NES. The effects were craptacular (as expected). Then I got the SMS 3D glasses and those were amazing (at the time), too bad most of the games were ass.
I would love to see a Fantasy Zone IIDX style remake of Space Harrier 3D using the original Space Harrier-quality visuals. Do it, Sega!
Hey. Was Taito's "Battle Shark" 3D? I remember the periscope, I'm just uncertain if there was a lens or something funky going on with it.
I can't even remember. The effect doesn't work very well for me, so I guess it just never made much of an impression.
Incidentally, I played a Virtual Boy for the first time about a month ago. I sorta got the 3D effect, but I couldn't be bothered to keep my head stuck in that thing for more than a minute, and the red LEDs were a bit overpowering.
I wonder how hard it would be to replace the LEDs with newer LEDs, preferably not red.
Do you have an eyepatch? :D
I don't think it would be worth much time to hack a Virtual Boy, but I figure someone's done it.
