Pretty damn good Christmas special this year. And in relation to the rest of the season, it was cool to see Danny again ("Think of me 5 minutes a day, every day, but you have to move on") and the Doctor and Clara admit that they were lying to each other.
Plus Nick Frost as Santa? That's just awesome.
River Song sucks all the air out of the series.

She completely killed my interest in the series. I dropped off a few episodes after her whole boring-ass arc in the Smith era ended.
Stupid Rory and Amy and Doctor Footface were pretty rough too, Song takes the cake though. 'Here's an interesting episode premise! No no wait fucking River Song is here, game over'
I didn't finish the last series. Have no compulsion to, either.
Capaldi's pretty alright so far. He's fairly mean, it's great.
