Soulman's has some pretty good BBQ. Also, definitely get a pizza at Campisi's. As far as things to see and do, there are plenty of choices. I would recommended the Book Depository, but I'm also a history nerd.
I never thought I would miss Texas, but it kind of grew on me when I was there.
Go to Whole Foods in Dallas, seriously, it's a fucking food mall. I could spend days in the candy shop alone.
I got off early today! I was outside from 8.30 to 3pm with nothing but a tent for work, less than a mile from the shooting. I need a cold shower.
I'd have headed over but school started today. Summer time or bust, imo.
Also, Red Hot and Blue has ribs ala the Rendezvous in Memphis. Go tour the Cowboys stadium. Catch a Rangers game. I second the Sixth Floor Museum - it's AMAZINGLY AWESOME. I stay south of the Bush turnpike so the fancy white people land north of there is a mystery (except for Ikea). Go to El Fenix or Gloria's (on Greenville) for Mex food. Mi Cocina is ok, too.
That's all I got now. Of course I only lived in Dallas a part of a year and visit every few months so my "fun cool stuff" may be lame.
