Shadowgate (NES)

I don't know how much of TNL played
Shadowgate, but I didn't know anyone else who played it when I was a kid. I found it to be a really interesting gaming experience at the time because most of what I knew before it was jumping, shooting, punching, kicking, etc. on a linear path to victory.
Shadowgate provided choices of action that had consequences. Of course, we all know now that there was usually only one correct choice in each situation, with the other choices resulting in death. However, at the time, I found the premise really cool, and it lead me to seek out other point-and-click type games, like
Deja Vu and
Uninvited.
