So you counter two Jag exclusives (which is really three, since IS got a good sequel) with two non-exclusives. I'll grant you there are optimal versions, but you're proving my original point here. Maybe the larger message we are all making clear though is that there is a reason these two consoles got hammered so quickly once the real next generation started.
True, but even a small number of good games can make systems like these worth talking about. This thread is like the TNL of old re-surfacing for a little while.Quote:

On that note, I don't think I have played any of the ports of Return Fire. I enjoyed the 3DO version but reviews were worse for others. I'm not sure if it's because they're actually inferior versions or because people expected more enhancements.
That is an interesting observation about the difficulty of comparison. And I think it applies to the Lynx versus both the Game Gear and Game Boy too. Those two Atari systems went off the beaten path with a lot less licensed games and sequels it seems, though the Lynx did have a fair number of arcade ports that would have never been possible on the other portables. The Jaguar could have benefited from that.
The jaguar would have benefitted from some support from "real" developers. The jaguar is what dreamcast could have been without sega and capcom.
Hey Mzo...

On Topic, I'm upset that Jag fans are so much more motivated than 3DO.
The Jag has seen a lot of homebrew and finished protos get released over the last 15 years.
All I have for 3DO is a crappy olympic games, a crappy soccer game, and a racing game that has vehicles with no wheels!
Special Olympics pentathalon
Gex still loves you.
You can't have Mzo, he's partying with me on PCE land right now.
PCE is for noobs.
Anyone can walk down the street with a PCE under his arm and feel pretty good about himself.
Real men don't need society's approval.
Real men rock the 3DO!
Can you command your wings on a PCE?
Can you play games featuring the acting talents of Dana Plato, Kirk Cameron, Tracy Scoggins, or Tia Carrere on PCE?
Didn't think so.
