Ooh! I've been meaning to do the same. I'm in for $10 bucks.

$7.49 for the next 48 hours on Steam
It does turn it into a wired controller, or at least it used to unless things changed. Firmware updates would only work via USB plugged in controller, later they changed it to allow bluetooth, but having the DS3 plugged in via USB should make it a wired one.Quote:
Other than length, is that any different from the charge cable that ships with the system? Because that doesn't turn your wireless controller into a wired one, input-wise. It's still using blutooth for its communications with the system. I get just as many de-syncs when using the original Sixaxis plugged in.
Which reminds me, the PDP controller I bought does not have Sixaxis support. No problem for me as I always turn it off in the few games dumb enough to force it in, but if you're a big flOw fan or something, you might want to steer clear.
Its weird that youre having these desyncing issues. Youve reset and re-paired the controllers im assuming.
My copy of the Wii SMB All Stars collection came today from Amazon for $22, and I got the Humble Indie Bundle 2 for $10. Also ordered the third season of the Boondocks for $22
I could not.
A few $5 games at Wal-Mart:
Legend of Starfy DS
Color Cross DS (random Picross clone, probably not as good!)
Also:
Cave Story DSi (had a bunch of free points with nothing else appealing...)
Game Center CX 2 DS
Infinity Blade - More than I care to spend on an iPhone game, but total impulse buy tonight. Incredible visuals. Tilt to Live is still my favorite game on the platform, but I like what I've played thus far. The Punch-out!! comparisons being dropped all over the place on the net are accurate.
I will defer to your Sony wisdom -- that it does indeed stop using bluetooth when plugged in (seemed exceedingly strange to me before that it wouldn't, but I couldn't explain the de-syncs otherwise). I don't know what's going on with my original controller. I guess it doesn't matter now that I have a functioning replacement.
Alien box set on Blu from Amazon UK. $40.
