I'm gonna repost what I said in the other thread.

That's not true at all though. Capcom is a great example. They've specifically said that they made sure that the Tournament Modes added into SFIV were free DLC for just that reason and had the DLC be just aesthetic additions.
If you fuckers keep BUYING shit that shouldn't be sold, sure it's all the same. But if you would say fuck you when Konami pulls this bullshit they would learn that having the paid DLC be shit like extra costumes/characters and things are ok but the Castlevania HD crap is not.
This is the fault of every one of you who paid for the DLC, not someone who bought a lightsaber for their avatar.
Capcom is just one company though, and that statement is for now. Besides didn't Capcom charge for extra playable characters in the 8-bit Mega Man games they released this gen. This shit starts small and then a few years down the line you're having to pay for every little thing in a game and wondering how that happened. Plus look at what the bigger companies want. EA for instance, they want to charge you to be able to use the multiplayer mode of games if you buy the fucking things used. How long will that go with just being the used version, before you're paying full price for a game and having to spend 10 bucks on multiplayer. Publishers want to pull every damn cent they can out of you, and buying barbie dress up shit for your avatar is telling them, Hey I'll pay for anything!
It is a slippery slope, and sadly gamers seem more than willing to bend over and take it in the ass for publishers. They're like crackheads.
Not sure this needs to be a thread, but whatever.
Regarding the Mortal Kombat fatalities, it's only for the "klassic" versions of the fatalities for Scorpion, Reptile, and Sub-Zero IIRC. Not that I don't think it's bullshit.
As far as I know, Capcom already confirmed that a few fighters in Marvel vs Capcom 3 are only available via paid DLC. Or they're exclusive to the special edition or something. LOL @ this gen
It's really as simple as saying fuck off and not buying it. If all of you idiots hadn't paid for the Castlevania DLC Konami would see that there's no money to be made by doing it. But if you're all going to just swallow it then it will continue. I don't see what is confusing here, it's not avatar items that made this Castlevania bullshit happen, it was Konami's own hubris/idiocy (japanese companies don't get digital anything) and yet all you dumbasses gave them money for it so now they will continue to do it.
I didn't Konami money for jack shit. I didn't buy any DLC bullshit. What I don't understand is how you can not see how buying stupid digital trinkets is all connected to the stupid ass DLC bullshit. It's all connected. If you've bought dress up close or items for your avatar then you're just as bad and part of the same problem as the people paying for bullshit DLC. It sends the same fucking message to publishers.
IT'S ALL CONNECTED MAN!!!!
Does it make a difference if you only used "free" points to buy DLC and Avatar Clothes? Or is that some part of the master plan as well?
