I'm on chapter 20 and my only response to the direction this game took: lol
It's just not even the same fucking game it advertised at this point. Does the second one attempt to be a survival horror game too?

Uncharted is stupid fun, but lol @ all the GOTY shit this series gets. So very, very overrated.
It's a good game, but hardly The Game of Forever like you're led to believe.
I agree with you for the most part, that said though it is really annoying how the enemies are just walking bullet sponges. I happen to be playing through Uncharted 1 also right now, and have to agree with Opaques complaints. I think my biggest complaint is that it doesn't let you just explore, because every time you advance like 3 rooms/sections its gun fight time. Explore for 5 minutes, gun fight, explore 5 minutes, gun fight. I really wish there was more exploration and less combat. Also Move support please.
Explore? There's no exploration in the Uncharted series. It's gunfights and linear platforming with cut-scenes featuring B-grade movie acting. It's not really Dude Raider.
No, the second game is actually good. At least until you get to the end and they revert back to spawning waves of enemies and then you fight a Resident Evil Nemesis boss.
I think the enemies are all still crazy invincible except for headshots, but there's less of them and they don't rely as heavily on lazy programming spawn bullshit.
I thought the end of 2 was just atrocious.
Ewoks, man.
Well it's lame they didn't fix the enemies being able to take like 20 bullets to bare skin before dying, but I like the sound of enemies coming from somewhere.
Spawning enemies is fine, but please no set points regardless of where your character is. I should never have people magically appear behind me in a sealed room.
I thought that's what the game was supposed to be about, I mean I genuinely thought the gun fighting was the minority of the game, but it ended up being the majority, which wasn't so great. Then the last 5 chapters are ALL gun fighting against enemies that at one point literally will spawn forever unless you figure out that you need to just walk through a door and seal it, which I only figured out when I ran out of ammo and had to run away; before that I assumed it was like anywhere else in the game where there's a finite number of enemies.
Also, how come all the enemies are wearing like gold chains and shit? And how did he send like 15 trucks and almost 50 three wheelers after you during the truck chase scene?
