If I'm sending out a direct mail piece your logo can ONLY be printed in black (and some other print processes, too). When I say black I mean black, too. No shades of grey. So everything is flattened to one level. In the case of the FIFA Women's Under 17 logo everything is not clearly defined enough. The silhouettes of the ladies running would meld together. Any visual effects like gradients and whatnot would be unable to play in that realm.Quote:

Also with so many effects it would be hard to reproduce those logos at large sizes. Like for South Koast Caribbean why didn't he draw out the islands? It would have been a simple trace job in illustrator to get those lines clean. He didn't. Either he doesn't know how (and just uses photoshop for everything) or he's lazy.

there is a difference between the time it takes to learn how to program and the time it takes to program something. It is like the difference between learning how to use a wood shop and tools and the time it takes to build a nice set of cabinets.
