Holy fuck what a hideous cover. I hope whoever thought that was a good idea was taken outside and shot.
There were a lot of bad decisions that had to do with cover art around that time. I think the idea was Americans like things that look awful.
Granted, the original cover wasn't anything to write home about (the upper left one), but at least it didn't induce vomiting.

It's fun to look at all this stuff and imagine it's the 1980's, where things like this can still come true.
The worst example of shit Capcom American art was the original Street Fighter Alpha cover where everyone looked like they had Down Syndrome.
I saw a link to a prototype vid of MML3 from NeoGAF and shit looked horrendous. I "liked" the Facebook group and stuff to be a good sport but yea. BTW that group has 35K members, all the noise about this cancellation is coming from a very small group of f-chans.
