Nintendo's remake of Star Fox 64 is due in Japan on July 14 and will hopefully follow here shortly thereafter.
It will feature gyroscope controls, which are completely incompatible with glasses free 3D. Nintendo hasn't said whether these controls are an option or mandatory.
The gyroscope controls have to be an option....right? Nintendo can't possible fuck up my most wanted 3ds title that badly can they? Of course they can.
Tilting to aim in that AR game I played at PAX didn't really kill the effect.
I assume you mean Face Raiders. That has really limited movement. Can you imagine gyroscope barrel rolls not screwing up the 3D?
Seriously. If they do, I'd rather play Star Battalion on my phone, since the major advantage of the 3DS is the traditional controls.Quote:

Looking at this kind of makes me wish for a Sin and Punishment remake. Although I'm not sure the controls are there for that.

Not sure how I feel about this kinda-better-than-n64-but-nowhere-near-3DS remake parade!
I'll feel a lot better when (if) E3 has some native must haves, like Mario Kart. I knew exactly what I was getting into, so I won't complain, as long as they don't dick up what I knew I was getting into, e.g. this thread.
The Zelda one is a real deal remake. This one looks closer to a reskin, like the ones people do with Daedelus. But the improved framerate is nice.Quote:
