No, my point was that I wouldn't expect/want to find anyone playing BioShock, for example, on either console. I would always look for what people are playing on Steam. Then I might look at the PS3 to see if they're playing some exclusive or doing something else.Quote:

For this round I think exclusives and unique Live perks and services are going to be more important than ever for Microsoft because if their console is inferior to PS4 graphics wise (although we still don't know 100%) then it has to offer the best looking exclusives/new IP's and do something different enough than what people can get from a PS4.
Xbox TV could potentially do this by way of franchises like Quantum Break and the Halo tv series which would implement transmedia storytelling to add more immersion to the games but it's going to have to do more than that. The Xbox live accounts transferring over is a pretty good win as well as the controller so far but there's just too many negatives that undermine any potential good that the console has to offer.
So for me they'd have to:
- Clear up the mandatory install/used game stuff
- Put at least some USB ports for controllers in the front since all of them are in the back of the console
- Not have non-compatible peripherals from Xbox 360 (although to be honest I kind of expected this)
- Get rid of or at least streamline the fuck out of that brick sized Kinect sensor
- Streamline the console itself
- Make the Xbox Live system clear as to what they have to offer compared to PSN/Steam
It was stated that MS is making this media push because people are using it a lot for other things besides games. You responded with that's why people should've ditched it and such a thing was a signal that games were going away on it, so a PS4 should be the backup console. So what I was wondering is what is your basis for that when the PS3 is exactly the same as the 360 in that regard?Quote:

The difference is that while the PS3 is more powerful it's also designed like a piece of shit for a consumer entertainment product. The PS4 should be much closer to the XO in terms of programming difficulty.Quote:

The PS4 and One are engineered similarly, PS4 is just more powerful.
I can't even imagine what games MS is going to bust out at E3 that will make me care. They can still maybe salvage this, but it's looking grim for me, personally. Now that Bizarre Creations is gone I don't care about any of their internal teams at all.
If MS increases the fee for Live (or even leaves it as it is) and Sony announces free online it's over.
