You know what polarizing means, right?
And I think you're thinking of TNL.
I can't deal with that amount of people. Every time I've been to NYC or Boston or San Francisco etc, I can't wait to leave.
I mean, I grew up in a town with dirt roads. It changed as I grew older and tried to turn itself into some rich enclave. I had to leave.
Looks boring.
Fuck cities:
Cities are nice to visit for the occasional concert or sporting event, but that's about it.Quote:
more traffic
more assholes
everything is more expensive
more crime and violence
noise and bright lights everywhere at all times of day
more pollution in the air and on the streets
visually unappealing concrete/asphalt/urban decay
The trick is to live just far enough away from a city that you're out of all its bullshit yet aren't too far to visit.
When I was in Georgia, I lived about 70 minutes from Atlanta (huge urban sprawl), and in Tennessee, I'm about 35 minutes away from Nashville (much smaller city than Atlanta).
I grew up in swamps, more or less. I've lived in cities since I turned 18, wouldn't trade back.
