I finished the first Mansion so far, and it's good fun. I think they got a lot right here, and feels like it could be better than the original, but need to finish it first before saying that for sure.

I still haven't played the original game. I saw a review of it on Youtube last night and it looks awesome. Fuck you, internet, for saying it wasn't good when it was new just because you wanted Mario 128.
I guarantee you I was talking that up on GameFan.com at Japanese launch.
GameGO! i remember Japjac being all excited about it...
Yeah, it was just a little after 9/11/01, that awful day...
when the GameGO! forums went down for a little while
My memory isn't very clear, and I didn't get a Cube right at launch, but my recollection is that most people said it was more or less a tech demo, while the game itself was okay at best and not a real Mario game.
I'll have to grab a copy next time I'm at ye olde retro shoppe, I'm sure they will probably have one.
Most people were right.
I like LM. Thinking about getting this but my backlog is like 75 miles long now. $2.50 games on Steam is killer, I don't even really want them
After a (long) while, you'll train yourself to stop buying the ones you won't play. I've gravitated back to giving deserving full retail games ~$40 instead of buying four games I'll never play $5 each and then paying $20 for the deserving one way later. $40 portable games are straight up bullshit though.
