buttplant could use some reefering - maybe he'd lighten up.
No, not anymore. This has been how VW's action games have turned out every time. It's not 1996, and an action game needs the characters to do more than a mere handful of different attacks. Even if more attacks aren't animated out, they should have polygonal/lighting/&c. effects around the characters which cause different things to happen.
A game like this needs to facilitate fighting game styled special move inputs, and command throws, and so on.
By the way, this will be on PS3 as well. No need for the handheld - as it should be.
I played Princess Crown and Odin Sphere, which was enough to make me loath them. I think Muramasa was down to like $10 which had me considering it since it supposedly didn't play like I was shoving dogshit up my ass, but then the HD remake was talked about and I held off. Shame that seems to have vanished.
JUST. LIKE. GAMESTOP.
I think I may have, I remember selling it.
Yeah, take a look at the buy and feedback thread, I'm the one who made it, for you selling me Odin's Sphere :P.
Also Murumasa was a good game, much improved over Odin's Sphere so I can only hope they'll improve even more.
You can tell from the axe handle that the pic is attempting stylized foreshortening.
The portraits remind me of these pictures.

Did anyone watch the latest episode of South Park?
Except in none of those does the shortening suddenly start halfway up the body. The thighs should be smaller if they're going for field of depth there. It's just bad art.
