Let's talk about this awesome game. What class are you maining? After briefly trying 2 other classes I went forward with an engineer. I use mostly hammers or pole arms and I've decided to use few skills to max 'em out as soon as possible. I use the one they start you with, the Flame Pillars and it's just devastating. Scales in power as you upgrade weapons and the bonuses for powering it up. The other skill is the mobile kill bot that acts like another pet. Runs around doing 5 shots per second (so far) and that combined with my pet and Flame Pillars gives me ultra crowd control. Since I'm all up in everyones guts I have put a lot of points into the passive shield skills so my defense is just overpowering at times. I've only died once so far (I'm on Act 2) because I didn't notice the blades shooting out of the floor in a dungeon until it was too late. I also enchant just about all of my gear when I get the chance.
This game does so much right. such a great sequel. All the little touches are great. The effect of getting a critical hit on an enemy and them exploding is awesome, if you are by a wall or edge the gore will shoot up (or down) the side of the wall. The day and night cycle is super pretty, the amount of different enemies rule and that awful loot addiction of comparing all your gear is all there. Game is a steal at $20.

Wish it had come out before Borderlands two, that market sure did saturate in a short period of time.

My outlander is level 15, might start an embermage tonight.
-
I like my new frost mage a bunch. I also like that it's possible to dodge attacks that don't physically connect, unlike Diablo 3.
In other news, WTF @ making Act 2 a desert. Diablo 2, 3 and now Torchlight 2.

I'm playing the first game again. Bugs me buying a second game without having finished the first...
-
I've got so much stuff in my shared stash (just hit 32 on my engineer) that I should go back to my other characters just to use some of it.
-
Is it just me or is the Engineer overpowered?
I slaughter things easily with my healbot around to keep me going.
-
The healbot is ridiculously useful, I agree. I've died a lot more on my mage than my engineer.
-
So are you guys playing together at all or is everyone going solo?
-
I think healbot will be my first Tier III skill.
I play mainly with a friend. I'll play with anyone who asks on Steam, though!
