Haven't got around to playing yet, but the takeaway seems to be- grab favorite character design and it'll all work out fine in the gameplay department.

Started playing this again a few nights ago, trying to round up a crew.
Dual-pistol wielding white-haired badass female with attack ferret, Go!
I started on Hard rather than normal and it feels right. So far it's not too hard, but I'm still exercising a bit of caution just in case, and I expect as the game progresses I'll be using a whole lot of caution later on.
