I've been playing this for about a week and I've seen the name pop up here and there at the same time so I thought I'd try to drum up some renewed attention. This game is a ton of fun. It doesn't do anything new, but it does a lot of stuff right. JM mentioned the feeling of impact the game has and that's probably the best part. The action just feels right; the melee and gun battles have a tangible component. The best headshot confirmation since Gears of War, each one of the weapons have a distinct purpose to them. The fights can get out of hand quickly if you don't pay attention, the swarms this game throw at you can get ridiculous.
The game looks and sounds great too, this seems like a sleeper hit partly because of its downright atrocious title.

i recently finished it. even though im not happy with the ending but the game was a blast.
The weapons are awesome. being a 40k fan but never having played any of the table top stuff, its nice to see the representations of the weapons i've read about in the novels. The story is rather basic but really interesting. They keep it very basic for the non 40k fans. They dont mentions the chapter of chaos, they dont say what god they worship, which they usually do in these types of situations, especially going up against other Marines. But they give enough for the fans of the lore to really enjoy it.
It sets up for a sequel nicely, though with 40k there are so many things you can do it doesn't need to. im hoping or a tyranid or eldar campaign for the next one. Or maybe tie it in with some of the books, fighting during the Holy Novela during the Eisenhorn book would be epic as all hell.
