I think, in general, the OWS protests are interested in bringing back a stronger regulatory state to act as a check on private industry's powers.

The whole debt forgiveness and whatever thing won't fly, either in DC (obviously) or amongst people who have worked hard to pay back their loans.

I'm with them. I find the cynicism validating.

Anyone can propose anything. It doesn't mean it has anything to do with anything, outside of what one guy proposed.

I find the fact that most of the cynicism is built atop ignorance is also validating.

I get that we're not talking about the most stable people and there's not much organization to this whole thing. I'd even go so far as to say that most of these hygienically challenged individuals occupying/littering Wall Street have no real clue why they're there. It was bumped by admin for wider dissemination, which is about as close as you're going to get to an official party line from this mess.

Tne first official statement is a better 'Party Line.' But you're barely informed replies indicate that you are one of the many that need to shoehorn this into a poorly functioning, narrow system in order for it to fit into the political theater that you and so many other ineffectual internet yokels can fly into armchair rages over.
