Frank is amazing alone, but I think what really stands him apart is his relationship with Morton, an even more sleazy despicable character. Seeing him take out Morton would notch him up in morality, if not for the fact of his motives. That's what really makes him ruthless, and the fact he pulled it off makes him brilliant EDIT: actually he doesn't, Cheyenne does, so he's not that brilliant, in the end his life is spared due to Cheyenne and Harmonica. This vulnerability is what actually makes the character relatable! You have this cutthroat motherfucker, which if not for his coldness, you'd be able to relate to!
Sorry. I know you love this movie more than I, which has always put you A-OK in my book.
