I second that you should get a Power Base Converter for your Genesis instead of an actual Sega Master System... it will save you some room. If you do go with an original just know that many (if not all) had games built in. Different games were released at different times. Instead of a pack-in cart you would just turn the system on with no cart in and that's how you would play that game.

Ah, just remembered your Genesis is a model 2. There is a Power Base Converter 2 that was made in Europe that fits the Model 2, but it goes for stupid money, and would probably be easier to get a regular Master System.
You will want Ninja Golf for 7800.
The one benefit to the 7800 was that it played most 2600 games. So you could get rid of the 2600. The master system is definitely worth getting. It has a lot of good exclusives. Just stay away from most arcade ports like altered beast and golden axe. And outrun and Space Harrier. Fantasy Zone was great though! If neozeedeater was still around (and i still dont understand why he isnt) he would recommend Kenseiden. Its like Castlevania. Rambo is a great (though very difficult towards the end) Ikari Warriors clone. Phantasy Star is The Best 8bit JRPG Ever. Alex Kidd in Miracle World and Psycho Fox are great platformers if you dont mind slightly mushy and slippery controls. Penguin Land is a fun puzzle platformer. The list goes on and on. Just stay away from sports and watered down arcade ports. Double Dragon was a good port though! Unlike the nes version, it was the actual arcade levels, and two player.
Cool...yeah, I'll definitely get rid of that 2600 then if I get a 7800. Like bVork said too, I'll need to get a copy of Ninja Golf. That game looks too surreal to pass up.Quote:

If you don't mind cutting the back off of the power base convertor, it will work with Genesis 2...but it's a shame to hack it apart like that.
You should get an original model 1 Genesis with no TMSS. Then you can use the PBC and have better sound than your model 2!
