It should be the exact opposite. This isn't the MVP.

I didn't say I agree with it, it's just how it always seems to work.
Yeah, these are the same asshats who thought Kirk Gibson was the MVP in 1988, not that I hold grudges for 25 years.
The fact that Dickey had more than a quarter of his team's wins should seal it.
It's not an MVP award so why should his 17 wins be any more impressive than Cueto's? Just because the other starters on the staff are horrible?
No, because the team behind him is measurably worse.
You have to do something horrible to not sellout in today's NFL, the Redskins built up a huge waiting list for season tickets over the years (going back to the early nineties). I don't know for sure, but I would bet that is a much shorter list these days and people who were ready to sell their season tickets probably stayed to see what RG3 brings to the table. I am just as stoked about rooting on my Skins to do well this year as I have been about my O's, despite the fact that ESPN and others shit all over both of them. The O's have begun to earn a little respect though. Sucks that they blew the game today.
They really are very close. Dickey has a better WHIP, more strikeouts, and one more quality start, but Cueto has a lower ERA and a higher WAR.
Dickey plays in NY, Cueto plays in Cincinatti. if the season ended now, he'd win. Cueto has a much higher BABIP though (a full .020).
