It's been reported that Crytek will concentrate only on triple-A F2P titles in the future. So, it seems Crysis 3 will close out that series. While I'd guess Homefront 2 & Ryse are probably still on, Timesplitters 4 is likely a no-go.

Not entirely surprising considering how much the Crysis games cost compared to how much they earn. Of course I don't know how much F2P shit earns either...
And TimeSplitters 4 actually seems like a prime candidate for F2P.
They were really vocal about how Crysis got pirated to fuck and back on PC. It was the main reason for them moving into console developement.
That's disappointing. Crysis is the best single player FPS out there. Crysis 2 was a disappointment but it was still pretty good. I'd hate to see them stop making SP games.
Crysis Wars 2 will probably happen, but the lack of a Crysis 4 would suck. I'd hate to see them sell off the franchise (I guess EA gets first shot at it in that case) as was done with Far Cry. If the series must end, let's hope C3 sends it out with a bang and the total extermination of the Ceph.
Then again, let's see what Crytek says when PS4 & 720 come out. Chances are that a Crysis 4 could then show up as a console exclusive. Next-gen consoles should have an advantage over a 2.66 GHz Intel Core i7 PC with 6 GB and a GTX 580. Realistically, I can't see something equivalent to a GTX 690 being put in NG systems. That card is $1000 right now. A 670 class GPU seems more likely, given that 670's are around $400 now and should drop just enough by then.
Crysis was planned as a trilogy anyway. I was never expecting Crysis 4. New Gens are usually a good time for new IP.
Yeah, it's the reason why Crysis 2 was developed for consoles first and then the PC version got a DX11 patch. The game looks pretty sweet on PC, but there are moments where the DX11 patch fails, causing the game to glitch with crazy lighting effects.Quote:

I know a few guys like that. They spend all their money on the newest tech and little else. Like, their houses, kitchens, bedrooms are almost bare. They complain about being poor all the time. But they always get the newest iphone, newest graphics cards, etc. But they steel all their games, music, tv, etc.Quote:
