Remember Me (PC, PS3, 360)

I have it preordered and am super excited for it.

Glad to hear it has promise.

Playing it on the hardest available difficulty. First boss fight was a lot of fun, a lot of deaths trying to get the timing down. It wasn't a hard pattern, but there was some timing on the dodges. Though getting stunlocked against the wall was annoying.

I love the atmosphere in this game, the world is pretty interesting, and the future tech advertising and displays everywhere are well done. So far I have some certain expectations for the story, but the rewriting memories thing REALLY bugs me. Like, I feel a certain level of distaste for what I am doing, and that is an awesome thing.

The first one rewriting the woman's memories of her Husband to kill him off and make her switch sides? That's fucked up. Though I suspect that the memories of him being alive were also a rewrite of the woman's memories, which will inevitably make it "ok"

The timing on the combos is always the same, so that's kind of lame but I think it's because they didn't want you to have to memories timings for the many different animations you get based on distance, what you were doing etc. The dodging is pretty easy, and the heads up display it gives you means you're just looking for the color red, dodging, and letting your muscle memory continue your combo. Still it's pretty fun and fluid.

Also the first ability you get is kind of boring as a move where you just mash the buttons and it breaks armor, whatever.

I bugged out one of the bosses and she refused to die. That was a bummer :(

Finally played through this in my PSPlus Pile of Shame. Not as bad as the reviews say. But I don't get why all women in the game are hyper articulate and all the men are blathering shit birds.

Sounds accurate.
