Okay, it looks like a PS2 game, but it doesn't look like it plays any crappier than XIII-2.

Seriously what are those textures. Also last few seconds of the trailer all I could think was YEAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!! Miami style.
I can't get over how unappealing Final Fantasy is to me now. I used to be so excited for them!
I liked FFXIII-2 more than most it seems, and I don't get this. I understand that it's tough to justify wiping the slate clean every time like they used to, but 3 games from that world is too much.
I liked XIII-2 but I recognize it was not up to the standards they previously had.
Not in terms of story, characters, locations or anything really. It just had a good battle system and chocobos.
Just make a new game from scratch with some fucking CASTLES and MAGIC and goddamned FANTASY already.
I will allow some steampunk elements like in FF6 BUT THAT'S IT.
What about a chocobo with robot legs, like in Final Fantasy Adventure?
Final Fantasy XV that looks like a Yoshitaka Amano paints, pleas, with little bits of fluff floating around everywhere and weird gremlins on everything. YOU WON'T LOSE ANY LESS MONEY ON ANYTHING ELSE, SQUARE-ENIX (except Dragon Quest and your shit iOS shit)
If they're kind of clunky robot legs with gears and not like silvery gleaming super robot legs.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 sold a total of about 3 million units across all platforms. This is half as much as the original Final Fantasy XIII. Yoshinori Kitsuke, a producer for the upcoming Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, seemed a bit confused as to why Final Fantasy XIII-2 sold less than the original. He came to the conclusion that players didn’t know that you didn’t need to understand the plot of the first game to enjoy the second.
“The reason for the drop may have been due to the fact that not many players knew you didn’t have to have played Final Fantasy XIII to understand the plot in its sequel. We’re hoping that we can get that message across for Lightning Returns, because the same is true here.”
