I am so in love with this game. How it's a direct sequel and shares music and sound effects from 999, all the mind games and over-analyzing everything that reminds me of Kaiji and Death Note, the whole Ally/Betray system (this rules so hard), chan voice track, so much more. It's like it was made just for me.
I do wish it was sprites instead of 3D models, though. Every time it shows their wrists with the bracelets tantalizing me with what could have been.
I've been really into this as well. Can't wait to get back home and resume it.
My only issues: how cheap-looking the puzzle screens are, how laggy all the touch screen stuff feels
They keep fucking with you right up to the very, very end. It all makes sense at that point but it's fucking crazy.
I liked this even better than 999. I think coming into this one more prepared for how batshit crazy it would get after playing the first helped a lot. All together a fantastic game and hopefully they get the sequel out ASAP. The cliffhanger from this one is killing me

i caught afterwards that there were plenty of little hints in the dialogue about sigma actually being old which was nice. But why the fuck does no one ever say or ask anything about him missing his fucking eye? I mean seriously, that's the type of thing that would be mentioned. Or he'll if he ever even touched his face once he would have noticed the thing. I'm pretty sure they should have done a bit more thinking about the character design there.
This is the highest rated Vita game on Metacritic right now (by Metascore). Glad to see it getting the recognition it deserves. I'm in the middle of my second playthrough and starting to suspect where this is all going. Of course, knowing 999, I'll most likely be totally wrong.
As much as I appreciate the chan voices, the English dub is not bad at all.

I'll probably give them a spin for one of my playthroughs. Sometimes English voice overs can be great, and practically make the game (Tales of Legendia). This is rare, though.Quote:
