Kind of late now but there's no reason not to get all the gathering professions at least at the start and just gather materials everywhere you go, regardless of class. When the time comes to level up another class, you have a shit ton of materials lying around.
I didn't even think of that. I'm only 9 hours in, so that'll be a BIG help for me, at least.

I gave this to my brother, he went bonkers on it. Somewhere around 120 hours and creator rank on all but I think 2 classes.
Fantasy Life 2 and nearly all of the Level 5 event was a shit show. ugh. An hour and a half of soul-crushing bullshit, 10 minutes of something kind of cool, and some more bullshit.
FL2 on mobile, looks like FL1 except on mobile, with some mobile looking town building element ugh.

Yeah the FL2 on mobile thing is seriously enraging. It doesn't even make sense. I get the dollar sign eyes to milk people for microtransactions, I get it. I don't understand abandoning an existing fanbase chasing it, though. Make some sleazy F2P mobile FL spin-off, fine. FL2 should be a real game, on a platform with buttons, building on the ideas of the first game. Apparently that's an outrageous concept. Hell, disk-lock some content again for some extra cash if you must
