This one reminds me a bit of Shock Troopers. It was being developed by Data West, who had done the Rayxanber series (forget about the first two, but the third one is awesome). Your weapon in this is some sort of flamethrower/whip/grappling hook hybrid.
Regrettably, it looks like the sample found on Demo Demo PlayStation Vol. 4 is all we'll ever see of the game. :cry: It really bites when a game that looks this cool doesn't show up on the shelves.
I remember this from Gamefan, your characters were a couple of buff army ladies. Seeing some actual gameplay, it seems to be a bit more slow and deliberate for a overhead action game.
The first video looks a little slow and boring, but the highlights shown in the second one make it look awesome, probably due to later levels and more powerups.
That video makes me want to play Glory Road an Ikari Warriors with a decent twin-stick setup.
The video does look pretty slow, though. Still, it's too bad the game never had a chance. There could have been some good game mechanics in there.

I wonder if any more content could be hacked from the demo. It's not unheard of for the demo to include much more data than is actually available to the player.
The demo for that PS1 Sengoku Musou fighting game, for example, actually included the whole game minus the music/fmv, you just couldn't access it without a cheat device.
Given that BA didn't get a legit release, it'd be nice if the whole game were leaked somehow. Barring this, hopefully maybe some former DW employee out there has a complete build and has just been sitting on it for awhile.Quote:
