That's actually a great question regardless of the media in question. Do people play a game, watch a movie, read a book, etc. and then go backward if they enjoy it? Obviously it varies by person, but I wonder what "normal" is.

Why try to quantify normal though? Some people get on at a certain point and have no interest in the past. Others are lead to it by the older generation. Others go to the older stuff on their own. Some just get into it for a bit and then roam off to the next big thing. And it seems these habits happen enough among such a wide array of people for any kind of hobby/fandom that I don't think there's a normal to it.Quote:
