I saw the intro to this while wandering around a Play & Trade today.
Crysisman sounds like Grumpy McEmobot. I take it nobody plays this shit for the story.

Yeah but High isn't the same as Very High. I didn't really try long enough on that setting to know that it wasn't going to stay at 30 (it would dip into the 20s, although I hear that the beginning is the most demanding part). High works perfectly, and would probably usually stay in the 40s or even 50+ most of the time with no AA. But capping it at 30 works great. Always a constant framerate.
I liked Crysis 1's, but Crysis 2 has one of the worst stories I've ever seen.
It will stay under 1.5 GB, using Very High, FXAA and a resolution of 1920 x 1080, ;)

Well, I can't finish the game I guess. After beating the boss at the end, I guess I am supposed to do something but can no longer control my character. It seems that a lot of people with the console and PC releases have all kinds of issues near the end of the game.
What a pile of shit.
I found out I was one action away from the ending...why not just make that part of the ending? It's stupid, I saw it on Youtube. Anyway, this game is the most amazing thing I ever saw, graphics-wise. On home platforms, I am not sure of the top ten biggest graphical leaps since Doom. This one is on the same level of the original Unreal, where it just stomped everything else out there to dust and you felt like you went into the future.
Karma for supporting Origin imo
Sounds like me playing the first Crysis. I managed to beat it but that final aircraft carrier battle was filled with all kinds of glitchy, floating enemies that couldn't properly interact with the world and were falling through the ground. I think I had to reload the last battle a couple times because the boss kept not working right.
The Polygon review really deterred me in its claims of this taking some of the crappier elements of Crysis 1 and 2 and ending up with an ultimately uninspiring "playground." Of course, it looks great.
I'm interested in it almost more from a "How good is my PC, actually?" perspective than a "Damn, Crysis games are so fun, I can't wait to play this one" one.
Admittedly, I really, really liked Crysis 1 (first half especially, though I appreciated the variety in the second half) and Crysis 2 was okay (but not enticing enough for me to bother finishing). So I'd probably enjoy it, I guess.
