The tenth abomination iteration of Spike's Video Game Awards is on at 9pm CotUT on Friday, December 7. While most of this nonsense is stomach turning, there have been some cool moments in prior years, like all of the cloaked figures walking out to unveil Skyrim. Plus, you can vote for your most anticipated Bioshock.
They usually are a joke but there is usually 1 or 2 things worth seeing. I'll DVR it so I can fast forward the majority of it.
This show is much more about revealing the future than honoring the past.
I hope they show the new Rocksteady game.
What's the over/under on Mt. Dew commercials during the show?
I'm thinking four.
How many commercial breaks are they going to have?
It's a two hour show, so I'm thinking roughly 10, including the ones right at the beginning and the end.
Isn't the whole thing a big commercial?
I watched last year. It just makes me cringe knowing that I love something that these assclowns do too. Most of the stuff isn't funny.
But I am sure there will be at least one awesome trailer or something. I hope anyway
I think it's funny that when this is on my wife may find it flipping channels and leave it there for a few minutes since she thinks I may find it interesting. They may play a clip from the latest game that really wants to be a movie and my wife thinks it looks great, while my comment is usually "it plays like hot ass."
