Considering the fact that it's the 3485397453982457th Lego game this generation, I'm not surprised that it turned out so well.
I played Lego Indy and it was surprisingly good. I don't really care to play any more.
Considering the fact that it's Traveller's Tales, I'm surprised it did.
Mickey Mania bought that studio a lot of respect from me. Every game since has whittled that respect down to nothing.
Waaaaay to many Lego games for sure. This is maybe awesome because it looks great and steals music and voices from the movies? I don't know but I sure like it.
I'm sure I haven't played all of them, but the only Lego <insert license here> game that I thought was shitty was the Star Wars prequel trilogy. I guess they were just trying to be faithful to the license.
I can confirm that this game is great. You probably only need to play one Lego game every five years or so, but if you haven't played one in a while, make it this one. This is the best game based on the license since War in Middle-Earth. Running around a Lego Shire while Howard Shore's incredible music swells is just glorious. The attention to detail is fantastic - they even include stuff from the books not present in the movies. You can find Tom Bombadil, for instance. And his boots are yellow.
I used to have War in Middle-Earth for Amiga, but I never got very far in it. I'm going to have to fire up UAE and give it another shot.
