Why wouldn't I complain?
A: There's a way to skip cutscenes
me: Cool, I stopped attempting to beat the game because they sucked and took too long
A: You have to beat the game first
me: Not cool anymore, that doesn't help me in my quest to beat the game for the first time
YOU CAN SKIP THEM MANUALLY EVEN THE FIRST TIME
Really? I could have sworn I wasn't able to do that before so I thought the original post was about adding that option (and not just the skip automatically) after the fact.
Yes, even your first time through you can press start to pause and then A or X or whatever to Skip Cutscene.
After you beat it, you can apparently turn them off forever which is actually pretty nice. I liked watching them once, but definitely not more than that.

I like the new version of the moon theme, but I'm glad the NES version of the song is there as an unlockable. I was surprised when I listened to a song and then the NES music plays during hard mode. They also attempted to do the new songs NES style, but they don't sound quite the same.
