Milestone (Chaos Field, Karous, Radirgy) has gone out of business. What the hell happened? Hiroshi Kimura launched MS Bio Energy, a company that was building a bio-ethanol plant in Vietnam. When the company sold securities for MSBE, Kimura was arrested for breaking the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act. The company's website is now totally offline as well.
Damn. More drama than the closure of Big Huge Games & their parent company 38 Studios.

): i had Karous for a while, but i don't even think i played it.
I liked a couple of their games but I wasn't even particularly aware they were still around.
Also that fighting game they made looks horrible. He probably should have been arrested for that.
I played Milestone shooters on the DC. They were fun. Not gonna miss the company though. Didn't realize they were even active.
I didn't know they released a compilation of their DC shooters for the Wii. I'll be snagging that up today!
I always meant to get that Wii compilation. Is it scarce nowadays, or $5 in used bins nationwide?

I enjoyed Radirgy partially for the charm of the visuals (JGR meets a PC Engine shooter) and because it was a step up from Chaos Field. With Karous and Illevlo they failed to make any further progress, plus ship designs for their games were awful.
For some reason I'm interested to learn more about ethanol production in developing nations now....
Natural resource production in every country ever (including and especially the USA) is insanely corrupt and shady.
