That's shocking because my store has been sitting on the same six since Easter.

The Targets around here have multiple PS4s and maybe one Xbone.
I assume it's because they are awaiting the new sku and so aren't ordering many 'bones.

Well damn, I was going to get a PS4 this fall but with this delayed I don't see it being worth getting yet.

You kind of have to at launch though. You can't just rely on launch window stuff to sell your system when your competition is trotting out stuff from the next two years.

Works for me. I'll probably pick up a few of the post launch big games on the cheap and I will have MLB, NHL, and NBA to told me over until this and whatever big exclusives are set for 2015.

You totally could though. Because stuff coming out in 2 years after launch doesn't mean shit at launch. Remember when systems launched with 5 wickedly awesome games. I don't need to see a concept video of a game that's 2 - 3 years away from launching that may not even be anything like the final product. It's false advertising, and it's the kind of bullshit this industry needs to stop pulling.

Show stuff when it's 6 - 8 months from actually coming out. Not this Last Guardian style shit. That game was announced in 2009, 5 years later and nothing. Beyond Good and Evil 2, announced 2008, 6 years later NOTHING. Show me games when they're almost ready, not when it's a fucking pitch trailer and nothing else.

Really? You honestly think that not telling people about upcoming games won't influence buying decisions and sway people towards one system over another during a period of extreme hype and rash purchasing? I personally won't purchase a system until I feel it is worth it at the time of purchase, but trying to say otherwise about the buying habits of the general public is hilarious nonsense.

I don't know about that, October alone is a pretty insane month and lately there's been a bunch of titles like Watchdogs, Wolfenstein, Super Time Force, Transister, Destiny in September and so on.

Forza Horizon 2 might be one of those games that push me ever closer to buying a One earlier than I expect to. I'm still a bit wary on Drive Club since it's less of a known quantity and the footage I've seen, while pretty, doesn't give me a good hook just yet unless it's like some spiritual successor to PGR or something.
