Super Mario 3D World (Wii U)

Pretty much any handheld game getting brought over to better console hardware is fine by me.

And 3D Land was better than Galaxy, so I'm fine with this not being a "real" 3D Mario.

I really don't know what you're comparing it to though. As Yoshi loves to point out, the NES was a good system because of 3rd parties. The Super NES was to a less extant. On either system, though, Nintendo releases were few and far between. They were usually new and interesting, but that's because there were so few of them.
N64 was a travesty with Rare being the main developer, Gamecube/GBA was the start of Iwata's wacky reign, bringing in weird 2nd party developers like Skip. Even Star Fox was a Rare and Namco franchise, though i guess it was partly Argonaut in the first place.

Nintendo impressed me during the Wii years banking the likes of Endless Ocean, S+P 2, Xenoblade, and Pandoras Tower. Already with Wii U there is Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2, and X if you don't care for the staples.

It's not about whether this was originally for 3DS or whether is a straight sequel with tons of the same mechanics.

If it's good, if it looks good and if it uses the WiiU hardware well, what's the actual problem? It's like I was saying with Galaxy 2, it's like adding levels onto the first one but it was fucking Incredible. If this is like doubling the length of an already great game system just on better hardware, well good.

It's funny because 2 of those games they had to be dragged by the neck to release.

Ahem. One of those actually since they handed off any knowledge of Last Story and Pandora to Xseed. Lesson learned? I would normally say no if there wasn't the recent shuffle of leadership.

How many of those games did they develop?

All Nintendo published and system exclusive, keep on spinnin.

So Dead Rising 3 is a Microsoft game now. Got it. Has anyone told Capcom? And Demon's Souls is a Sony game! That's probably news to From as well.

Does anyone for a minute think Xenoblade, Bayonetta 2, or Sin and Punishment are timed exclusives? Yosh sweating it when Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts PS4 go multi plat?

They are multiplatform. Please try to keep up. And even if they weren't, and Sony was publishing them, they'd still be Square games.
