Played the ps3 demo, it's pretty great but whoever made the decision to use analog only controls should be beaten. I'm downloading the 360 version now since if I'm forced to use analog I'd rather use that one.
I downloaded the PS4 version, and it kicks some major ass! The game is great from the very start, but for me it really picks up when you get to Solo. The power up you get after that fight makes you feel like a bad ass.
I have to agree with Gohan though...analog controls for a 2-D game are always sketchy....especially during one boss fight where you have to hold down to duck. It would have felt more precise to be using the d-pad in that situation.
Tried the 360 demo. 360 and PS3 versions seem pretty much identical, bought the 360 version since I can control Hiryu better with the 360 pad.
Ehh... it's okay so far. Not bad but not great. Feels like a sloppier, emptier version of Strider 2.
The floaty handling when jumping, landing, which may be caused by the analog control killed my ass a grillion times on Solo last night. It hasn't really been a problem before, or since then.
I eventually hung on the side of the platform and waited for it to be over.
Has anyone played both the PS3/360 & PS4/One versions in comparison?
The higher resolution isn't a huge thing for me but I'd be curious if the higher framerate makes the gameplay smoother.
Higher framerate always makes the game smoother.
