Most people are not getting the PS4 or Xbox One anytime soon. Lots of good games coming to 360 and PS3 for the next 6-12 months.
"Lots" is awfully generous.
Pretty sure anyone could tackle this gen's back haul and not need a new console til next Xmas.
Now that's certainly true.
Dark Souls 2, South Park Stick of Truth, Gran Turismo 6, etc. Plus there's still a number of games that are coming to both current-gen and next-gen: Wolfenstein, Thief, Destiny, etc. I'd say the lineup is pretty good for at least the next 12 months.
Let me help you strengthen your case, which will still fail to meet "lots:"
Lords of Shadow 2
Mad Max
Watch Dogs
I'm not actually going to play any of those games on a PS3 or 360 of course, and it's still less than a game a month.
The Wii U actually has an outside chance of beating that.
If not "lots", then certainly "sufficient."
I think most of us are beyond the "must buy a new game every week" phase and well into the "will buy a handful of new games a year, maybe" phase.
Nine games in a year is sufficient for you? I'm calling bullshit on that.
edit: We left Yaiba out! Make it ten.
In terms of what I actually play? Yea, it might be. Of course I buy way more than that, but that's because I am dumb.
If you really get into, say, Titanfall or GT6 you probably don't even need 9. My dad normally plays one game a year (Gears 1, MW, BF3, etc.)
I wouldn't either, but the cost of entry is $60 as opposed to $460 and up. A lot of people will do that. The games wouldn't be coming out on those platforms if they weren't.Quote:
