I swear some wine lovers are just as bad as the alcoholics who buy you shots you didn't ask for then call you a pussy over and over until you leave or finally drink it. Why is it so insulting to people that I don't enjoy the same thing they do?

People tend to like to share that which they consider a good experience with friends. Pretty natural.

On a related note I hate shots but like scotch on the rocks.

Side question: Can a scotch be too smokey? I would suggest yes.

Side side question: what is the point of 'whiskey stones'?? I want my whiskey room temperature and straight or ice cold and slightly watered down

I am afraid of them. I am convinced I will forget they are what they are and break every tooth.

I like those two, I am also a fan of my whiskey dramatically changing it's proportion of water and temperature the more I drink.

Whiskey stones suck and don't really work.

I got a set for Christmas along with two gigantic ice cube makers. The giant ice cubes are THE BEST.

I find full beer mugs/steins uncomfortable to hold entirely by the handle, and it's an awkward way to drink.

Wine is very much like beer, in that there's really something out there for everyone. If you haven't found a wine you like, it's because you're not looking hard enough.

Edit: That being said, we live in California's wine country (there are vineyards across the street from us), so I suppose I have more options than most.

Try Icewine sometime, it's really fancy.

I especially dig dessert wines (there's a local chocolate port that's amazing), so yeah, I'm into ice wine.
